SOC 2 Type II
17 providers · Audit Report · System and Organization Controls
SOC 2 is an auditing framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It focuses on five Trust Service Criteria: Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, and Privacy.
SOC reports are the result of an independent audit, and are generally only made available upon request.
A SOC 2 Type I report is based on an organisation's systems at a point in time. A SOC 2 Type II report goes further, and addresses the operational effectiveness of the specified controls, usually over a period of several months.
For more on SOC, see the AICPA website.
